Reverse Engine is a sleepy, nomadic netlabel founded by Dave Merson Hess in Los Angeles, California, and currently based in Houston, Texas, USA. RE began in 2000 as a home recording collective, paired with a primitive website for posting free mp3 demos. The project morphed into a record label releasing limited edition CD-Rs by 2001, and we embraced Creative Commons licensing in 2006. This year marks the beginning of our second decade as a netlabel.
